 Alan was raised in the farm country of southwestern Pennsylvania. While growing up, he worked in his father's family business and also on family members' and neighbors' farms. Alan gained the passion for the outdoors and hunting from his father and grandfather. He has fond memories of hunting with family and friends for everything from squirrels to black bears. Al moved from Pennsylvania when he was 20 and has spent the last 23 years working for several major airlines as an aircraft mechanic. During his aviation career, Al has lived, worked and hunted in Texas, Missouri and Illinois. After moving to Illinois in 1989, Al has hunted public and private land all over the state in pursuit of the elusive "Giant Whitetail" and "Long Beard Tom". Al's 30 plus years of hunting has yielded a harvest of several trophy class deer and turkey. While hunting in Illinois, Al dreamed of owning his own hunting/recreation land and passing it on to his sons. In 2000 Al purchased his first farm from Midwest Whitetail Land Company. In 2005 he purchased a second farm. Al has gained a substantial amount of knowledge toward wildlife enhancement by managing his properties. By incorporating quality deer management practices such as food plots and government programs, Al can provide quality advice to manage your property. Al is an avid archer/bow hunter and is a Pro Staff member for "Chosen Arrow Ministries" where he speaks at seminars on "Calling Monster Bucks" at their Whitetail Classic. Al also hosts a wild game dinner and family bow shoots. Alan, his wife and two sons enjoy the year 'round recreation of their farms. Al's lifetime passion of hunting and farming knowledge will be a great asset in assisting you with your purchase or sale of hunting/recreation land.
